THE FANDOM HIGHTIMES: SECOND ISSUE!

RORY SPEAKS:
So, guys, guess what?

I finished up my application to Princeton last night, and Brown the night before. And since most of you don’t know or care, let me break it down for you. I'm applying to four schools: Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Brown. The latter two are my safeties. Meaning that now I've finished with them, I'm on to the tough ones.

Naturally, I doubt I'm alone in this, considering how large the class of '07 is. So consider this a warning, juniors and underclassmen: the seniors who snap at you between now and November 30th don't really mean it. They're just under a bit of stress.

(Unless it's Parker or Aeryn. They might mean it, so I'd hightail it out of there.)

PHOEBE SPEAKS:
So the school year is in full swing and already we're halfway through a semester. Time really does fly when you're having fun... or you're busy... or you're doing whatever it is you do.

We're experimenting with new classes and feeling out new teachers. I bet some of you are even taking bets on which teacher is the scariest and which one will break first, huh? I have my own opinions on this.

Kind of like Rory said last week, I'm a different person this year than I was last year. I've survived everything Fandom has thrown at me and I really cannot wait to see what happens next.

If the weekend of sudden black and white existence is any indication of what is to come? I really don't think we have anything to worry about.

WHO'S THAT TEACHER DRESSED ALL IN BLACK AND WEARING A MASK?
Part two of a two part series.
By Blair Sandburg

The connections between the ethics professor and the criminal justice professor are easy for anyone to see. The clothes, the masks, even their names seem to tie the two teachers together. But do their similarities go deeper than appearance?

Coming from just twenty years in the future, Professor V is another Londonite for Fandom's growing collection. Unlike Professor Mr. Lord Darth Vader, V is without any other titles. But what he lacks in honorifics, he makes up for in experience.

Before coming to Fandom to teach, Professor V was previously self-employed as overthrower of governments. Which is quite possibly the world's coolest job. He lead a revolution against the Norsefire government, so The Man should be keeping an eye on our teacher in the Guy Fawkes mask.

Revolutionary or not, Professor V has a distinct soft side, professing that his favorite part of Fandom High is the students. I'm sure that the feeling is mutual among those in his class. I know that the Damn The Man club certainly appreciates his advising.

The personalities of these two teachers seem wildly different, but we all know that opposites attract. Professors V and Vader are reportedly living together here in Fandom and I, for one, congratulate them on finding someone to share their lives...and possibly their wardrobes.

[Editor's note: On behalf of the Fandom Hightimes, I'd like to extend congratulations to Lord Vader and Professor V, and wish them the best for the future. - RG]

SHIPPING NEWS
By Phoebe Halliwell

First Shipping News of the semester, and wouldn't you know it, it's all about Homecoming.

Homecoming was a night to remember, and not just because someone's awesome boyfriend made her favorite fairy tale come true for her for the night. It will definitely stay in his girlfriend's memory for the rest of her life.

First of all, we have to pay homage to this year's Homecoming royalty because they were all stunning on Friday night.

First off, at the Ball, Angela and Marty made an absolutely gorgeous Queen and King of the court and it couldn't have happened to a nicer couple. Yay to you guys! The Juniors were represented by Willow and Bridge. Yes, I'm very happy that two magical people I care about made the court. Kudos to Nadia and Blair who won the hearts of the Sophomores and also a big yay for Marie and Jaime who were shining in the court for the Freshman class.

Others that were making Homecoming memories included Cally and Mac -- who my sources tell me were completely adorable together; the Alumni coming back means that Veronica and Cam were sweet and friendly, and River and Blair were incredibly cute. There were also sightings of a Piper and a Lindseyhaving a loving reunion on the grounds of Fandom Town.

We will not talk about the fights, the glares or anything of the sort as we have a theme this week.

Others in the running for cutest couple include Nadia and Walter, Willow and Peter, Joxer and Kaylee, Cole and Phoebe, and Sam and Dawn? That's what my notes say. Greg and Isabel also decorated the dance floor, as well.

There were several friendly dance-offs and a few people whirled around the dance floor on their own, which was also a lot of fun. Sam and Jack also had missed each other so there was the rumour of much making up.

All in all, it looked like Homecoming was a smashing success - to all involved: students, faculty, townies and alumni.

Have a good week and I'll have more gossip for you next time.
