Ok, so I know one-shot posts sometimes get lost in the general gameyness but this one -

Moving on is a simple thing

God it's so beautiful. So simple and unaffected and just completely right. Nilah's an amazing player and her one-shots are always so powerful but this one really left me breathless.

Read it. Yes, that is an order.

Yes yes yes. Beautiful. Simplicity and an exploration of the tragedy of the ordinary are underrated, and Nilah hit it right on the head.

Guh!

Just... Guh!!

I'm so crazy-busy with my trip-planning that I'm barely coherent - I'm so very glad you posted this here, I might have been one of the ones that missed this!!

Luna, IMO, has got to be one of the hardest characters in canon to do "well" in a role-play. She's got enough of a foundation to make her more established than a minor character, yet she hasn't got the broad foundation of the more well-known characters. I think it would be easy to take her to extremes too much. Nilah gives her heart and depth and motivation and dimension that I've never seen with any other Luna-portrayal I've read. In Nilah's hands, she is real and believable and tender and hurting and yet somehow still so otherworldly.

This was beautiful. Poignant, bitter-sweet, and absolutely breath-taking.

Oh... wow.

I'm just happy I'm not screwing her up too bad, lol. One of the great things about FI is the opportunity to explore characters on a deeper level. I'll hand it to JKR, incorporating a character like Luna was a stroke of genius, so I'm always glad to hear I'm doing her justice. :) Thanks.
