Holiday in Cornwall
was great! I enjoyed it a lot. Liked the ocean, walks, gardens, the seal sanctuary, cream tea was very tasty!
Had a bit of a celebrity trip this time, as flew to London with one very famous Russian stand-up comedian, flew back with a famous Russian singer and saw Angelina Jolie in Heathrow. Also left my small plastic bag with glasses and contact solution in the cafe in Heathrow, but luckily it was rescued and returned to me by Ant and airport security guy.
New apartment
I have moved to e new apartment, which I am renting from our accountant from former job. It's much closer to office (takes me 30 munites)and I don't have to take the metro!!! The apartment itself is nicer, warmer, with big kitchen and good view. It's also almost in the center which means less travel during weekends, and it doesn't look as 1984 as my previous place did. There is an oak park right across the building, with a pond and ducks there, nice to walk on a Sunday afternoon. I am very happy about the move, especially when I turn up home early in the evening and have time to do lots of things! Before I was sitting in the office even when I didn't have much work, just waiing for the rush hour to pass...
My cat
We'll take him to the vet this weekend, for a check-up and to have him neutered (not sure about spelling). I was thinking for a long time whether to do it or not and then decided that it would be better for him and for me as his owner.
Upn the whole, he's a very healthy and lively cat, jumps and runs around, and I am happy to take care of him.
Other news - my sister Catherina has started her PhD studies, lots of work! She's spending much time in the library reading and stays in the stidents' dormitory, which near the University and the library.
I submitted documents for Chevening scholarship today, thanks to Ant and Ben for helping with my essay. I hope I'll be more lucky this year.
Tomorrow I'm planning to start a new course - I want to become oficcialy a teacher of Russian to foreign students. That will be a distance learning thing, doesn't cost a lot and I'll have an additional qualification.
