Place to get a haircut in Bristol

A question to girls: do you know a good hairdressing place in Bristol? Price is not as important as quality...
Thank you in advance!

Thats very sexist you know ;-)

I mean, Ant KNOWS how much I look after my hair...

I used to go to Toni & Guy on the centre, which is quite pricey. If you can find a stylist you like though, then they are very good. And do a nice head massage as well.

A cheaper option for me was the Clifton Hair Company, up near the students union. They were good as well. I think Arabis actually recommended them to me.

We *all* know how much you look after your hair!

If I was in a strange town and desperate for a haircut, I'd look for a Toni & Guy because afaik they do the best training around and I'd be likely to get a good cut - though as Skean points out, not cheap ( ... )

I don't live in Bristol, so can only generalise, but I tend to avoid Toni and Guys now because they're a franchise - I know it shouldn't matter, but I think it reflects in the way the stylists are best at 'standard' fashionable cuts.

I don't think I've got particularly odd hair, but it is pretty thick and can be quite wirey - I eventually got bored of seeing the panic on the stylist's face when my hair wouldn't do what they thought it should. A good independent place that you can build up a relationship with is worth it's weight in gold.

Skean - There's an OGs meeting on Thursday night to give Dai Jones a send off - I'll get my brother to tell them that the class of 92 is dispensing hair styling advice on-line and see what reaction it gets...

Thank you very much! I'll call a few places, compare prices and try to book something for next weekend, will report on the results
