Exams
On Thursday, December 8-th at 11.01 am I will be the happiest person in the world because my exams will be over!!!
We have 3 this term: marketing, research methods and strategy. Research methods include statistics as well, so I've learnt how to do a chi-square test of hypothesis...
Marketing is kind of strange, because all he talked about this term is centered around the idea that consumers' choice of products is more emotional than rational.
I agree with ths idea of course, but absence of any financial considerations makes me wonder a bit... Well, may be we'll have it in the second term. We also had a marketing simulation for 4 weeks, we were promoting and selling a hew hi-tech device. Althought our group won I have not learnt much from this simulation.
Strategy is good, I am doing the topics that are interesting: risk and uncertainty, and what and how organizations can learn from their failures.
Research methods are not good and not bad. On the one hand I feel bored memorising 26 chapters of the book about all kinds of methods, on the other hand this is so close to the Russian teaching style, just learn the book and no qustions or analysis required, that I feel most confident about this exam.
Really looking forward to Thursday.
