We have the following distribution of marks for our economics course: 20% is group work and 80% is individual essay. For the group work progect we got 75
( Read more... )
Let's say you get 75% on the group work. You get 35% on the individual assignment.
The total mark (out of 100) would be: (20/100 x 75) + (80/100 x 35). That comes to 15 + 28 = 43.
If you get 60% for the group work and 60% for the exam in marketing, that's (20/100 x 60) + (80/100 x 60) = 60.
Turning this around: you already have a 75% score on the group work (well done by the way!). Let's say you want the total score to be S. What score must you get on the individual essay (call that E)?
. (20 / 100 x 75) + (80 / 100 x E) = S . 15 + (80 / 100 x E) = S . 80 / 100 x E = S - 15 . E = ( S - 15 ) x 100 / 80
You can use that to work out what you need on the individual part: pick a value for S and work out E.
ok this is going to seem really weird but, is your name Fialta? Because my name is Fialta and i was named after the book <> by Vladimir Nabokov and i've never heard about anyone else named Fialta... anyways bye<3

Hope that makes sense (yell if not!)
