That statement is a bit of non sequitur unless I also mention that I am listening to a Portuguese singer right now. (No, not Mariza.) If Mexican Spanish reflects the warmth and brightness of the desert, than Portuguese reflects the susurration of the ocean when it meets the harbor. Yummy

I'll have to bring by a book I have in my collection of Portuguese poetry. I wasn't impressed by all of it, but some of it was pretty.

I've not been to the library for hte li,brary in quite some time. About a year ago, we were meeting in the local library, and I was impressed with it... and vowed to start going back... I failed thus far. Perhaps I need inertia as well.
