Another month later, Sam was disgusted to hear about Warren’s lightened sentence. He had rolled on all of his connections, apparently, and this warranted a deal. The nightmares returned in full force, flashbacks cascading across his eyes. He woke up screaming on one occasion, Gene’s arms around him. Sam peered into the darkness, knowing it was Gene, but unable to stop from shuddering
