About a year and a half ago, Mol started to get some numbness in her face. Over a period of a few months it progressed bilaterally across her face and down from the cheeks to the jaw. The intensity of the numbness increased as well, to the point that if she isn’t careful while eating, she will bite herself. She’s given herself a couple nasty bites ( Read more... )

Oh man! Best of luck to the both of you. Healthy thoughts to Mol! If you guys need anything, please don't hesitate to give me a buzz or throw rocks at my window.

Thanks Eric.

You know, it's really retarded that we live so close and haven't so much as thrown a rock at your window.

The MRI should give you a better idea of what's going on. I wish the best for both of you!

Yeap. This Dr. seems to have his head in the right place and is moving forward quickly, so hopefully we'll get this wrapped up and can move forward (in whatever direction) soon.

Glad to hear you have a good Dr. Hopefully it's something mild like a pinched nerve or even Bell's Palsy (both bad but understood at least). I think the worst part is *not* knowing what the problem is. It invokes too much worry and fear. Once things are identified, at least you can go from there.

Again, I really hope for the best for you guys.

And is this why we haven't seen you two out forever?

Thanks Doug.

She doesn't have any other signs or symptoms that would lead to something serious, so I'm fairly confident that everything will be fine, but until you've ruled that out who knows. Eitherway, yea, I'll post something when we know more.

and, yea, that's one of the main reasons.

I hope that you get the answers and support that will help you see this through to a positive outcome. All my best wishes. I can't imagine that it's an easy thing to discuss, never mind live through.
