Though Claude Monet only started painting seriously the year Henry Thoreau died they were definately men similar soul. Simplicity, clarity, and nature were most important. That time of the world was definitely the time of the thinkers and a true understanding of our place in Nature:

i like it a lot, and although it might be the decking underneath that makes me think so, it also reminds me of the driftwood we get out here on the pacific coast.

Love driftwood...have several pieces to remember WA state by... used to live there.
