Hemp

I spun up some hemp fibers last week. It actually turned out very well.. fine enough to be a course thread when plied.

Does anyone know if it should be spun damp like flax?

I've spun flax before and while spinning this I did wet my finger from time to time.

I think I like the results better spun wet.

Personally, I like to spin it damp as well but let me refer you to other folks who will know over at spinningfiber :)

I spin it both ways. It depends on what kind of yarn I'm looking to end up with.
