I actually saw this on flickr first... :) I don't think I saw your roving! I'll have to have a peeksey! (I kinda dropped off of there for a while, but I've been into it as of late, thanks to a kind pal.)
i totally get the 'out of it' thing. i haven't read a blog in over a month.
but yeah, check it out, i hope you like it. oh, it's actually called 'night sky', not 'starry night' (which would have been a better name). http://flickr.com/photos/velmasworld/350831106/ i gave it to a swap partner who was way into blue.
I'm a new spinner and am trying my darnesst to create even smooth yarn but when I see Cabin Fever, I want to do that. How do you get all the cool lumps and bumps.
sorry it has taken me so long to respond, fitterknitter, but i've been offline for a few days.
thank you for your compliments on my yarn. to get 'lumps and bumps', i vary the amount of fiber that passes through my fingers as i draft; more fiber = thicker, less fiber = thinner. i find that it helps to use uncarded/uncombed fiber to get this particular fuzzy/felty look.

poppies and lupine don't come out 'til later, but the daffodils are up!
