Inspired by recent experiences: Does gluten make your fibro pain/symptoms worse?

Absolutely. I've been gluten-free for 2 1/2 years, and I'm relatively pain-free now save for the occasional flare from stress or weather. Before I went GF, my joints and muscles ached every single day.

Also, if there is any cross-contamination in my food, I will feel it in my joints within the hour.

Not for me. I tried going gluten-free for a while (three months, I think?) on the advice of my doctor, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

absolutely. Prior to going gluten-free I was talking to my doctors about disability... now, while I still have bad days/weeks/months it's very manageable. If I do get a gluten exposure I absolutely flare in horrible, painful ways.

Nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, paprika, eggplant) are also a huge pain trigger to me and a lot of other folks.
