The hellish day that I thought was gonna take place today...actually didnt. My presentation went well, but my tutor has managed to lose all of ( Read more... )

So he lost it, but you're the one who's screwed if you can't get any other copies ... This person is employed as a tutor because ...?

Your recent experiences make my time at uni seem like a breeze (well in the lecturer/tutor department anyway).

Enjoy the week off :)

"This person is employed as a tutor because...?"

Very good question!! I think it may be because there is a distinct lack of people willing to teach students these days? (Just a guess but some of the idiots that come along, I sure as hell know I wouldnt want anything to do with!)

Ooooh dont you worry, I most certainly will enjoy my week off! ;)

"Word of advice to everyone...NEVER go to college"

i have been saying this for ages.. its horrible.. there only after money. At least universities have their pretentious reputation to hold to, where as college are all about getting the money.. who cares about pass rates? their stats are all based on how many people sign up for courses, after that it doesnt matter.

they are evil.

You know, if I had heard that before I had started I wouldnt have believed it, but now having attended a second course (which ironically I actually enjoy), I believe it. Although there are some people there who do care, there are a hell of alot more people there that just dont give a shit, and see tutoring and, lately, listening and helping students, as a massive chore.

At least Ive got a week off now to chill out and forget about the lot of them, but no doubt when the time comes for me to go back its gonna be horrible.

One things for sure, if things dont change when I get back at least there's people I can speak with who can change things. One of them being Calum's Dad who is the head of Glenrothes college, and also close friends with the principal of Aberdeen college.

Oh, and by the way, thanx for the comp, tis working away nicely..even better since I got my iPod working on it ^_^
