Casey glanced over at Jason, who was still asleep next to her, and rolled out of his bed.

“What?” Jason groaned, waking up at the movement.

“It’s almost eight. I need to get to work.”

“Alright,” he said, rolling over again to go back to sleep.

She looked at him. “You need to go to work too,” she reminded him.

He snored.

“Jason.” She grabbed her pillow and hit him in the back. He didn’t move. She crawled back into bed. “Hey, Jase. Get up.” She kissed his neck.

He groaned and rolled over, then kissed her on the lips. “You know, you still being in my bed isn’t making me want to get up.”

She rolled her eyes and started to get off the bed again, but his arms locked around her.

“Where do you think you’re going?” he asked in a playfully aggressive voice.

“We’ve been through this. I’m going to work.”

“I don’t want to,” he whined.

“I don’t care,” she mocked in the same tone of voice he’d just used. She broke out of his hold on her and stood up, then grabbed her pillow and dropped it on his face. “Come on, baby. Up and at ‘em.”

He threw the pillow at her. “You’re mean.”

“I’ll make you pancakes,” she told him as she pulled one of his t-shirts on.

“Blueberry,” he mumbled as he rolled over to go back to sleep.
