Ah this was so good. I love how you set up the first scene, in the way it feels so domestic, the cooking, the lemon and thyme and then the shock of the accident. Just the overall atmosphere of this, step by step was great as was the process of Ueda rediscovering himself again, as much as it was painful for him and Nakamaru and everyone else seeing him deal with it all again. The little glimpses of the past and how Nakamaru gets to relive it through Ueda were wonderful as well. Ah just great. My favorite scenes were when they come back and Ueda asks about the couch, the flashback about the said couch (abjvbdkgjbkrjbfgdkjvnbjkfdngkjvngfkjnbrkdnbksf.) and the scene where Ueda asks Nakamaru about him being said. The way they sit on that couch and just bngjfnbkfngbk yeah that was perfect and I really loved it.

Ahhhhhhhhh I do have a particular fondness for the first scene, so I'm really happy you thought it worked and set the atmosphere for the rest of the story.

I'm so glad you pointed out the couch scene!!! hahaha well, all three, actually! But especially the flashback, and the last one, which was a super last-minute panic-induced addition. >_<

This is so beautifully written!
I loved all the flashback scenes and how you could really see the depth of Ueda and Nakamaru's relationship through them.
