Comlodge

Comlodge was away from LJ for six months for personal reasons, and though she and Megan were close, she was unaware of her disease and shocked by the news of her death. As were we all. May I inform her of this group in Megan's memory?

Thank you dear, but she in fact does know about it, she had already seen Gabrielle's memorial when I mentioned it on the 15th.

Janice's wise words have been quite a comfort to me these past days.

I found out from clockwork_hart1 that Gabrielle had emailed her with the news; but I do wonder how many people still haven't heard. There's really no way to know. I think our corner of fandom has done a wonderful job of trying to keep people connected and informed, which really illustrates the power of fandom as a community. (Now THERE is a paper for eilowyn's master's thesis.)

Dear singedbylife, thank you for thinking of me. I in fact had been included in this group when it was made. I just wasn't around much and did not know. I found out when I followed velvetwhip's link. I want to post just hadn't found the words.

Take all the time you need, Janice; I look forward to your post.

I'm really impressed by how this fandom community is coming together for one another. It's a great testament to how many people Megan affected and the fact that fandom IS a "real community"

It's heartening that we can all be here for each other even though many of us are on different continents. The online world is a wonderful place... heck, without it, none of us would have ever known Megan and as sad as we are to lose her, it's still worth it to have had her at all.
