AU, The ultimate solution to shipping wars. anonymous June 8 2012, 23:25:40 UTC
Aka: Oops, This Accidentally Became World-Building
It's traditional for Avatars to be Poly-amorous. It isn't quite a Harem, in that it is more like a group marriage, based on mutual affection/love between all involved (because being the Avatar is about ~balance~). Though this may not happen all at once, and the groups can shift and change over time. Like all normal relationships, these relationships have to grow into themselves. This is why, if there is any official "ceremony", it usually happens later in life, when the group has settled down, though it is common for young Avatars to search for and create looser groups early ( ... )

Lol, seconded. This is interesting. And... no, this is not because we can have an excuse to give Korra that love!harem we all want her to have, honestly!

So, you want this polyamorous relationship to be Korra with Mako, Bolin, Asami, and Tahno? Or do you want more, like Amon, Tarrlok, Tenzin, Pema, Lin, and/or Howl?

I was thinking the main Krew (Korra+Bolin+Mako+Asami) with option to include Tahno, Jinora (though only really with the group when she's older), etc. Though I'd prefer not to have the adults involved, especially Tarrlok or Amon (maaaayybee Lin).

Or maybe Amon and Tarrlok can have hatesex elsewhere while Pemma, Lin and Tenzin decide the Avatar has got the right idea and form a trio of their own.

I love this idea because now there's someone besides me that thinks that Ta Min/Roku/Sozin could have happened. And I already ship Korra/Everybody too.

(AN:So I told myself that I was taking a break from fandom, and then I decided to just casually browse the prompts for a few minutes. Whoops. Anyway, I took your "being the Avatar is about balance" to an extreme. Sorry that this fic is not that fluffy, but for the most part people accept that the Avatar has particular needs and strive to accommodate, dealing with their own feelings as best they can along the way ( ... )

After Roku came back from his twelve year absence, the three of them tried again. But they weren't sixteen anymore, riding high on passion and emotion, the thrill of novelty and the feel of skin on skin. Even with Roku thrusting inside him and Ta Min writhing underneath him, all Sozin could think about was that his friend, his lover, his Avatar had used those same hands and that same cock on who knew how many others ( ... )

Zuko traveled regularly to Republic City, leaving Mai to handle the day to day affairs of running the Fire Nation. Of course he stayed on Air Temple Island during his visits. He'd return relaxed and in unusually good spirits, but otherwise the same as far as anyone else knew. Only Mai ever saw the bruises on his neck and chest, the scratches on his back and the marks of teeth on his inner thighs ( ... )

Ha! I was about to yell at you for not including Our Girl Lin in the loving goodness, but I am appeased by the bonus scene. Their interaction has the sparkin' nature I love about them. I love the recurring joke about firebenders, and the last line of the Tenzin scene had be rolling.
