You know, I almost ended it with Dean not going to Sam and leaving it as canon-compliant :P. I'm afraid the happiest endings I can manage are ambiguous and bittersweet.

But thank you so much for taking the time to comment :D. I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I haven't written Supernatural in years, and just a couple short fics back then, so I wasn't sure I had Dean's voice down right (especially early-series Dean), and I didn't want to make John seem OOC so, seriously, thank you ♥ :D
