This was fantastic--I agree with the first commenter, in that the idea of losing language for someone like Reid would be exceptionally terrifying, so I loved your exploration of it, and I loved Morgan's understanding, loyalty, and care.

Thanks so much! That was what nannerz2cool (who I wrote the fic for) really wanted explored, so I am glad it seems to have come across so well!) Also glad you enjoyed Morgan's role as well as Reid's. <3

Wow, I think you expressed Reid's anxiety and confusion very well. I enjoyed this fic. :)

"Save the meat?" he asks, anxiety showing clearly in his eyes. He grips the blankets tightly.

"Save. Did you mean to say 'save'?" Morgan asks, picking up a pen and a notepad.

Aw, this whole scene is amazing... <3 I think Morgan did exactly the right thing here. I wish every aphasia patient could have him helping them!

Morgan accesses every mindset and skill set he has ever known to help Reid: protector, victim, athlete, delinquent, detective, profiler...and he gets to work.

Love it! Work, Morgan!

"This kind of yes, and kind of around about between..." Reid rambles, clenching his teeth in frustration. "Terrible words..." he says, sounding disgusted with himself.

So good.

Morgan glances down at the words he's copied. The message Reid is trying to get across. He keeps coming back to the second word. Keeps remembering when the doctors came in, and asked Reid to repeat things. How they sometimes came out mixed up, but more often than not, the syllables and sounds were all there ( ... )

Right? I think Morgan would be an excellent aphasia therapist... <3

He is so amazing.

Terrible but wonderful...

'Cause, you know, it's all about the profiling.. :) And I love spontaneous applause!

Nope! Morgan isn't that kind of guy... <3

Yay! I love that you love this!

I love this immensely. You crafted it so very well. I was intrigued and enchanted the whole time. And I suck at praise. :)

I think I'm late to comment on this, but I just found this story and cannot go away without telling you how much I enjoyed reading it.
It's amazing how realistically you protray the symptoms of aphasia; the characters are so in character, never over the line, never indulging in mushy, empty lines. Thank you so muchf or sharing it!

Thank you! That really means a lot to me! I did some research on the specific kind of aphasia Reid had and found some videos of people with it. Realistic fic is the most entertaining for me to read so that is how I try to write my own. I am glad it translated and that you enjoyed it!
