I love the way that I can instantly hear your writing being read by the character whose POV it is. It's literally instantaneous. Brilliant.

"Hotch, what the hell are we gonna do if we can't get out of here? Emily is like..." JJ trails off, her voice intense and quiet. "I should have never said we'd take this case..."

I love this glimpse into the insane amount of pressure JJ must feel daily.

But Garcia pulls her close, as if she has said just the opposite, and presses a kiss to the top of her head. She rests her chin there and addresses Derek, as matter-of-fact as ever.

"It's cold in there, you know. Without your body heat..."

HA! I bet!

"Is that a pencil?" Spencer asks, squinting. "We could use that..."

Oh my God, Spencer...

And I love Derek. But conversely, I can't wait for that bravado to slip away and show the despair that's lurking underneath.

And yes... He's strong when he needs to be but I imagine the shield is going to fall away sooner or later...
