W-what?!

Disney Bought Marvel.

I have only one word: WHAT?!

Then again, imagine musicals of Spiderman and X-Men and the Incredible Hulk, where people have battles that never shed any blood while singing about their hatred for each other.

I could get behind that.

My first reaction was to cringe.

But then I remember that Disney acquired Pixar, who is still full of awesome and amazing flicks like Ratatouille.

And then again, imagine the Hulk in a synchronized dance off.

My first reaction was mostly WTF. Lots of it. XD

And Pixar got off on the wrong foot with me over A Bug's Life versus Antz. Seriously, ants are homicidal maniacs who enslave each other! NOT COOL INDIVIDUALISTS ON THE INSIDE.

I love your icon.

And the Hulk is very gay-phobic after nearly being raped at the YMCA. A synchronized dance-off might not be manly enough for him.

I can't remember what A Bug's Life is about. I remember Antz as the one about the individualistic ants though. I just completely fell in love with Ratatouille. Can't look at dark haired lab mice in the same way ever again.

Thanks. I <3 the Master.

As Rose from the Titanic has proven, dancing, especially en pointe, is quite a feat of strength and can be very manly. Clearly, if the Hulk did the entire routine en pointe, it'd be manly enough for even his and all his bulk.

I just think the economy is making people crazy. That or swine flu.

I don't know you, but you just made my life.
This? This Hulk dance? Is something I must see.
If I must one day become rich, and pay people to dress up as Hulk and some other awesome nemesis, and have a battle of the dance for my private amusement, then I will.
But this has now been added to my bucket list.

Thank you for your brilliance ♥

I'm actually not sure how to feel about this.

Tell me about it. First Marvel goes into manga and then Disney goes after Marvel? It's like a shark eating a flounder only to be swallowed by a blue whale WHEN BLUE WHALES AREN'T EVEN PREDATORS/CARNIVORES.

Just. What?

I actually made a post about it in my journal. I'm vaguely conserned ecominically since man I think Disney has too much power, but I'm not too worried that Disney will fuck over Marvel more than Marvel does.

.... Do not want. Just... eurgh. Now they'll probably turn everything into happy fun fluffy times.

...At least the news broke a couple of hours BEFORE your birthday as opposed to during your birthday?

And I am fighting the urge to suggest that Marvel Zombies invade Disney flicks the way that Stich did during the promotions for Lilo & Stich. It might traumatize people.

I don't think that's something you're going to have to worry about. As noted in plenty of smart comments here.

It's possible we'll get more lines of kid friendly stuff, BUT I'm not sure they'll ever go back to the stupid that was so much of the Silver Age (omg I love it though so much crack). It would be interesting too, if Marvel was able to cut down on the angst because sometimes I really think the company doesn't know the value of balance.

I laughed! So much! Because now it'll be Disney vs. Warner again (on top of the usual Marvel vs. DC!), except now it'll be a superhero smackdown instead of who has a bigger animating penis.

Those crazy kids just can't get along.

I totally want a Marvel musical. Now.
