Reading old entries is incredibly cathartic *nods* It's good that you can gain some sense of a journey whilst just living life by the day gives you no sense of context. I think that you've made exactly the right decision and whilst not knowing Keith too well i'm not surprised by his reaction and decisions to cut you out of everything. It's a natural response for someone so agressive and intense (as if you need me to tell you that, heh.) As for quitting uni, it's his decision and you shouldn't ever feel guilty about that. You've got just less than three years ahead of you at uni and from the sounds of it you're having a good time despite of him and all that's happened. Don't let his harsh words affect you, just move on and ahead. You are a wonderful person and anybody would be happy to have you in their life. He knows this and is probably scared of what he will miss but not having you in his future.
