That's a really nice spec. I swear, on every other show, I would be convinced that it's true. Storyline wise it's definitely the thing that makes the most sense.

They spent more than three season telling us, that Chuck can't and won't make Blair happy, and that Dan does it without really trying. So I'm sure they'll do something with that.

Yeah, I don't get why everyone is so convinced that they are giving Chair this great romantic story. Nothing about GG reads to me a reformed UES schemers as being a dramatic story that leads to endgame. LOL.

I think they are taking the DB storyline slow because it's the only thing that makes sense for Blair's storyline now that they have established in canon that he makes her happy. It's just all about the journey of getting there. They are using Chuck over and over to establish Blair's weak label and I think they are using Blair's EOTA to be her darkest before the dawn thing they seem to be doing with their labels. Chuck's was 4x20. Dan's was in 5x04. I think Serena's is going to be in 5x13 or later. Nate's class whore one I think is going to hinder him in a relationship. We have this new girl coming, she seems like a hometown girl who won't be okay with Nate sleeping with all these women, maybe that might help with his label too.

Blair's EOTA to be her darkest before the dawn thing they seem to be doing with their labels.

I really hope this turns out to be true, I'm afraid that they'll just gloss over the accident/miscarriage, without it having a real impact on Blair's character arc, and that would suck so bad.

I feel like Blair's label was the only label really addressed in S4, and I'm not really seeing it being on her mind like it was last year (in her actions, yes, but she is not self-aware to realize it yet).
While Serena and Dan's are addressed more direct/obviously now.

I think the writers regret giving Nate the "man-whore" label as a joke, because his character arc seems to be about him accomplishing something without his family and being a "whole" person.

Well I think she is extremely self aware of her label in 4x20 when discussing Serena. The problem is she truly believes she can never change it. I don't think she would of cheated with Chuck if Louis had never made those victim blaming comments in 4x21. He reminded/blamed her of her darkness, when she was happy with him, reminding her that only Chuck can love her for who she is. She wants to be with Chuck because she can trust he won't leave her, but he doesn't make her happy because she doesn't like the weak person she is with him. The fact is this is all canon, it's not even fanwank, it's in the dialogue, which is why I think it's impossible for CB to be endgame unless they retcon everything ( ... )

The only excuse for DB to be going this slow is endgame. LOL. No other thing makes sense. They know they have a great story. Media loves it and they are slowly building it up to keep it.

I have the exact same thoughts about waiting until season 6 is over to decide if I should rewatch everything.

Aww.

I'm hoping the writers makes sense too and this is the reason for the slow burn. I hope they aren't thinking the biggest OMFG moment is to build up this great arc and then everyone ends up miserable.

But not even the actors can't make sense of it. Oh Ed's interview.

Anon doesn't want to wait for DB but they also don't want it to be forced. It's so confusing.
