Reid laughed and nodded, “You sure did, you’re way smarter than me.”
Jack stopped and looked up curiously, “I thought you was a genius?”
“Not at checkers I guess.” Actually he was and, while playing, found at least 247 ways to beat the small boy after the first two moves but that wasn’t the point. In playing games with a small child the point was always to have them enjoy themselves.
“Daddy! Daddy! I’m smarter at checkers than the genius!” Jack exclaimed.
“Of course you are, buddy,” Hotch said with a smile.
