“Do you like school?” the little boy asked as he jumped about the aisle of notebooks and other stationary.
“It’s my favorite part of autumn,” Reid confessed with a nod and slight smile. While Hotch went to gather some things on the other side of the store he’d been tasked with looking after the man’s son. Reid was happy to do it though, over the years the “Reid Effect” seemed to have faded into non-existence.
“What’s that?” Jack asked, a touch confused.
“What’s what?”
“Autumn.”
Reid had forgotten that Jack was, well, still a small boy. “Uh…it’s, uh…this season. Fall.”
