He pulled up, used his credentials to avoid having to park the SUV, and then ran into the emergency room. “Where is he? Is he alright?” he asked Jessie, the ex-sister-in-law, as she got up from her seat.
“Jack’s okay, Aaron,” she reassured him, “he was playing on the monkey bars and he…just slipped and bumped his head.”
“But…he’s okay?”
“Yes, he’s fine. I promise.”
