“You want to see something really neat, Jack?” Reid asked the small boy with an eager smile himself.
“Okay,” the small boy nearly stood up on the chair as he leaned on the conference table in great interest. Dr Reid always showed him the neatest things.
Reid smiled as he went into his bag and pulled out the blocks he’d borrowed from Emily. “Are you watching?”
“Yes.”
Reid began to fit the blocks together this way and that and, soon enough, he’d created what looked like a solid wooden star, “Tada!” he announced, handing the puzzle over to Jack.
“Cool!”
