I have a question. How do we do the block-quotes thing in LJ? I'm pretty comfortable with basic scripting formats, but usually within the confines of Microsoft Word. Would something like this:

CHARACTER: (suggested emoting) Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

be okay, or is there more complicated HTMLing that must be involved?

And a probably more stupid question, but: stage or screen? Or either?

Dude... what language is that?

I'm gonna figure out what can be done to block quote with my first submission post, which I'll be shootin on out there in a few.
Then I'll add some suggestions as to how to format for ease and comfort.

I may sound like I'm going to be strict, but I'm not, not really. I figure it's for everyone's own good to have the proper way down and practiced.

As for script type....

Whatever floats your boat. Screen or play, TV, commercial, whatever.

Okay. There is an RTF option on your LJ, right under the text entry box.
I could not use it, because my CPU said... NO! Too HARD!
And believe me, I tried. So I just C&P from my WORD doc to the window, then threw in the center and /center commands before and after every block text thing.

I did not change to courier, though that is supposed to be the standard script font, because I'm not keen on courier. I don't hate it, but I think it lacks a certain friendly quality that the standard LJ font has.

Because fonts can be remote and unfeeling shapes, I guess. Heh.

Hi. I just found this comm. I was wondering if you'd be interested in affiliation.

I run virtual_mutant which is a simple VTV (virtual tv) update community. A majority of the updates are for script... it's my favourite format to fic in now. I call it fanscription.

Also, would we be allowed to post our scripts as external links as pdf? I usually post mine in both html and pdf. Prompts are a great idea.

Thanks for your time.

Sure. Fanscription, I like that term!
I'd say you can post a link to a pdf, but I for one won't be able to read them.
My connection is... shall we say... pathetic? I have dialup, and I'm lucky to have that.
Who says there are no unexplored wilds left in the world!? I'm livin in one, practically! *L*
My one burning desire is to offer up a spot for fanscription that gives a little nudge to the brain to make more. musemuggers is invaluable to me, for their brilliant structure and easygoing ways and I plan to shamelessly emulate feath, leatherdykeuk, dubiyanand boldly_go in their glowing sucess.
So, sure, yes, more the merrier.

Oh I know that feeling. I am on dialup too. A whole whopping 40K. The html links don't seem to give people problems though, but the scripts I post are usually 50 pages or so :) Scripts become addictive.

I'll check out those comms and journals too.

I'll whip up a little affiliate image to put on my comms info page, and also plug the comm from there too. Members who have websites can also check out: http://rooniverse.net/fandomscripts, and I have a forum for script discussion if people need pointers or just feel like talking about script in general :)
