I've been meaning to get on here for a few days, but really, it just hasn't been a priority. I wanted to write in here, not so much to document my life as to just let everyone know ( Read more... )

Dude, sorry to hear that. I've been dealing with a lot of deaths recently. I know how the pain goes. But never fear. Thursday will levy all that pain in the form of movies and Subway. Rejoice, bro.

Yeah, between Aaron and my grandma in the past few months, I hope I'm done for awhile. It's just such a terrible thing to go through. But yes, I will be there dude.

Hey Anthony,
Your entry really captured your love for your grandmother. I never met her but I can just tell that she was a great woman. I'm sorry for your loss, man. It sounds like everyone is better off for having known her, though. And I'm sorry your week has been bad, too. Just keep your head up, dude. Things will get better. They always do. Take it easy, bro.

Thanks Daniel,
Yeah, she was a really awesome lady. There were so many people who came to the showing and the funeral who I had never met and it was just amazing hearing their stories. A nurse who assisted a doctor on a surgery she had 10 years ago saw her obituary in the paper and remembered her from that long ago and came by. And tons of old ladies from the retirement apartments came that had never seen me or Adam, but they knew all about us just from what grandma had told them. These two ladies walked up to Adam and me and said, "So you're the hot rodder and you're the writer," and I was stunned. It was just so nice to hear that my grandma talked about Adam and me to the point where two ladies could pick us out in a crowd just from her descriptions. But anyway, thanks for the encouragement... Talk to you later, under better circumstances I hope.

anthony, i am so sorry. know that you, adam, and your parents are in my prayers. i know what losing a grandparent is like. especially one you loved and admired so much. do not forget that death is not the end. you will see her again when you get home.

take care,

anthony,
i am sorry i didn't get to the funeral home to see you and adam and your parents. i have been thinking about you guys a lot. i will never forget when my grandpa died and everyone came to see us. i hate that i missed it, but i am glad you were surrounded by people that love you and loved your grandmother. i am constantly amazed at our grandparents and their friends - they are exactly how you described them. i don't know how our and our parents' generations are going to measure up to them. if you need anything just let me know. i am really sorry that i didn't get there to see you all.

talk to you soon - bill
