Dear Yuletide Writer!
First of all: please don't let any specifics put you off. I am a very open-minded reader and I would love to receive anything in any of these fandoms. It's almost impossible to disappoint me, and you are already awesome just by writing me something.
GENERAL NOTES: As you'll see from my requests my major loves are femslash and gen-fic about strong and sassy women. I am down with any rating, and content can be anything from the most general gen to the least plotty of PWPs. Femslash and het are both fine with me, as is slash, but I don't think I've given you enough boys to play with for that to be much of an issue?
I am always intrigued by angst, banter, characters taken out of their usual environment, any kind of AU, role reversal and just generally testing the boundaries of canon.
Dislikes: I don't have many. I really have a weird block when it comes to 1st person narrative, which isn't a dealbreaker but I do seem to find it harder to engage with? I hope that isn't too fussy.
The Good Wife
Alicia, Kalinda, Diane, Eli
I don't want to be too restrictive here, so while I would love some femslash I am also very pro gen-fic that explores the complex friendships of the women on this show. I also just love Eli, so if he pops up anywhere that's always amazing.
I'm mostly in love with Alicia's 'in limbo' situation right now - how by not being publicly separated from Peter she is hemmed in by secrets. I love her relationship with Kalinda - so an AU of Alicia finding out earlier, or not finding out at all yet - would be super interesting.
One of the few things the show 'dropped' was Diane being a mentor to Alicia, and anything about that would be right up my alley.
Once Upon a Time
Emma, Regina, Ruby, Maleficent
I love Emma/Regina really a lot. Whether it's hate!sex, competitive badassery or just both trying to do what they think best for Henry, I would read anything from a random cider-fuelled hookup to 'Henry now has Two Mommies'.
I'm also intrigued by Ruby and what she knows about the town - she's involved in a lot it seems, and Emma/Ruby would also be totally ace with me.
Evil Queen/Maleficent doing bad deeds all over the place is always great, and if it had femslashy or friendshippy overtones, either is lovely.
Devil Wears Prada
Miranda, Andy, Emily
Miranda/Andy or Miranda/Emily both work for me.
I have a certain urge for younger Miranda - whether it's in flashbacks or a time-travel scenario would inspire you? But of course I love her just as much in present day.
I'm intrigued by Emily's earlier days at Runway, how she coped as a second assistant and how her relationship with Miranda has evolved. A lot of fic focuses on Emily reacting to finding out about Andy/Miranda, but what about the other way round?
When it comes to Miranda/Andy - a scenario where the twins actively put up resistance would get me? Or Andy coming to Elias-Clarke in a different role than assistant.
But honestly? In this fandom I can't think of anything I wouldn't read. If this is an excuse to roll out a nagging plot bunny, please just go for it.
Downton Abbey,
Cora/O'Brien, Mary, Violet
Cora/O'Brien is my guilty pleasure 'ship and I would just love to have more to read about them. Cora seeking vengeance if she finds out about Robert, O'Brien trying to make up for the soap, Cora in her earlier years at Downton.
But I also love Mary and Violet, so anything about them would be magnificent - pre-series or present day.
