This is a happy ending! More of one than I usually write, definitely. No one is actually dead. I kind of want to write a companion to this story from Dean's POV but I kind of like letting this one stand on its own, because experimenting with this kind of fragmented style for Sam was - really fun, and a challenge, and really interesting.
