Oh man, I just love everything you do with Castiel, basically, because I think you write him so very in character. And theres a wonderful slow burn to his friendship with Sam, and you capture it really well with this. AND DRUNK!CAS OH MY GOD I COULD READ HIS RAMBLE FORVEVER AND BE SO VERY HAPPY. The tags for 5.10 and 5.14 kind of broke my heart but I am so glad you wrote the one for 5.14 the way you did, because its something Dean wouldn't say, not in my mind, but its bery much something Sam both needed and deserved to hear. So kudos for that. And basically you hit everything I love about these two, and the last one, I love the last one so much. And just, I love everything about this and its so great and THANK YOU FOR SHOWERING YOUR AWESOME UPON ME. Also we should meet sometime before you leave, because its the second week of school for me and I have nothing to do after like noon on thursday or friday. So yeah. Wanna?

Someone...actually a couple someones recently told me they thought my Cas was OOC so that's really good to hear. >> And yesss the slow burn of his and Sam's relationship is exactly what attracts me to it so much; the slowness and carefulness of it all. DRUNK!CAS WAS REALLY FUN TO WRITE omg I've been unable to write anything for ages and that section kind of wrote itself, it was so nice.

The one for 5.14 was the first one I wrote and might be the best, though I confess to liking 5.10 a lot for some weird reason. (And yes. You see my author bias slipping in there in the 5.14 tag. You really do.)

Damn it, you did it again. You captured perfectly awkward, gentle, fragile and beautiful thing there is between Sam and Castiel. This fic should be titled "Five conversations that Sam and Castiel absolutely had, but the cameras just weren't rolling." and I'm adopting it in my head canon right now

slkjdf and your comments, they always make me flail all over the place in baffled delight, because you say the kindest things. (I am totally okay with you adopting it as canon. It is already kind of mine, which is...where this came from. Yep.)

I was really trying to do a whole evolution with this, and I'm glad that worked out! Sam and Castiel's relationship is one of the most interesting to me because of all the reasons you list, because he forces Castiel to confront his own biases and also is so...stubbornly faithful in something even when Castiel is floundering, and I have to think Castiel would find him at the very least fascinating.

You've hit the nail on the head with what I was going for with that ending. I may have peeled some of that idea out of "And This Great Blue World" incidentally, because omg, that fic.

Drunk!Cas was my favorite part of this to write, possibly. Other than the 5.14 piece because. Well. Inserting authorial bias into things is my favorite?

I wholly agree with this proposition. If I could write happy things I would go for it. (Maybe I will take this on as a challenge.)
