You'd think a trip to the supermarket would be pretty much problem-free, even in the midst of Worldwide Crazy.  But when you're talking about Dean Winchester, nothing is ever simple.  Particularly when fans are involved.

"You will likely get us thrown out of the store," Cas said.  "Without our groceries."CHARACTERS:  Dean, Cas, OFC ( Read more... )

Oh Cas! So smart!!! I can't believe she was yammering about fanfic. It's inevitable, those books are online.

I'll admit, I don't generally come across people yapping about fic. Just Dean's luck to find the one person who has no qualms about outing herself as a ficcer in the supermarket!

Glad you enjoyed the story!

I hate when people do that and force everybody else to hear their conversation

Most of the time, I don't mind it awfully much (unless it's in the movie theater) - but I do wonder why they never seem to mind that others are listening to their conversations, some of which are VERY private. Very strange.

That was a terrific story. My reaction sometimes to people who are yammering loudly on a cellphone in a store is to get into their eye line and STARE, as if I'm listening to their conversation. But only if I have the time and if they don't look too crazy or too menacing. It's really interesting to see the reactions. A few look uncomfortable and try to walk away but a lot of them are just totally unaware or uncaring of who is around them and who is hearing what.

I find that it only really bothers me in two locations:
1) In the movie theater, during the movie, or
2) In an elevator, where the sound gets magnified. It's amazing how many people feel inclined to yell into the phone, when they're in a small, confined space.

Glad you enjoyed the fic!

That's what I've always loved about Cas - his quiet, controlled personality wielding all of Heaven's power. But the reason I love that character so much is because he's never needed the power. He loses nothing when he's human.

I think sometimes he forgets that - it was nice to give him an opportunity to remember it!

Glad you enjoyed the fic. :)
