Oh man. It would take those two words (thank you) between Sam and Dean to reduce me to tears. If Show managed to do that.... *sobs*

I hope for a peaceful ending for the sake of these characters. I want them to be together and satisfied with their choices (dare I even say happy?). I understand that it may not "fit" how the show runners envision their ending, but I feel like every good ending requires a balance between the "literary" ending and the "emotional" ending (I'm now remembering I started writing a meta on this after the S5 finale.... Oo). Even if S9 (and S10) are ridiculously disastrous, I desperately want the series finale to be a good "end" for Sam and Dean.

I figured this would be the perfect way to end it - go ahead and include the big kickass battle scene, but then give the boys a happy ending. ('Cause, NO, Jared, you don't need to nuke your main characters.) 8 years in, I still think Jess was/is the love of Sam's life - I don't buy that whole lame Amelia thing for a minute. And I think Dean could have built something solid and enduring with Lisa and Ben. (Sorry, Destiel fans...) It seems like a no-brainer to give them a possible future like this.
