Your description of the police station and Dean's reaction to his circumstances was a really sharp vignette. Also, this really fleshes Ellen out as a character. I'm assuming that this is pre-hunter Bill and Ellen but maybe not? I ditto all the requests for more when the muse speaks of course).

I'm not sure yet about the hunting situation. Jo said she lost her dad while "still in pigtails" - so, maybe age 7 or 8? That would still allow a little time for her parents to get dumped into that world, since she's 4 here. And I don't think anybody's ever said that Bill was a longtime hunter by the time he died.
