Oh yeah... here's a great site that has violin strings & accessories pretty cheap:

I order all my strings from there. They usually end up costing a little more than 1/2 of what you would normally pay at a music store.

internet isn't always the most reliable place to learn. go to a music store and pick up some Strictly Strings books. they're great to learn from. i learned frm them and they teach you some pretty good stuff. they're cheap, too.
