I hope you come back to see this response - all blogathon posts are being posted in dragonsfordvs, where I will be happy to post about the "Carmina Burana"!!
Im Nuwan From Sri Lanka. If you are a blackberry developer hope u can help me. Im loking for some good blackberry development tutorials. Basically im a J2ME developer.
I am not, unfortunately, a blackberry developer. I am a java developer (J2SE and J2EE) just not anything to do with the blackberry. It does make me wonder how you found my LJ ;).
I did work on one blackberry project, but it was not J2ME oriented, rather HTML/CSS oriented. However, I found that RIM's Developer Resources gave a pretty good start. They weren't perfect by any stretch, but were enough to suit my purposes and I was able to muddle through the rest.
That being said, it helps if you know what devices your app is going to be deployed to. Make sure that you download and install the emulators for each device/version.
I have been told that developing Java apps to the Blackberry is *significantly* easier than the work I did developing HTML/CSS apps. So I wish you the best of luck!
