G minor is painful? How strange! But it's easier to play in sharp keys with a guitar anyway.

Gminor: it's the distance and angle between index finger at B flat and E flat and the ring finger at D and G that's the problem. Eventually it hurts my hand. Too bad, because I love that key! There are some terrific fiddle tunes in Gm.

Ah, those two notes closest to the nut. I can see how that might be a problem...
(I hardly play in that key, being a guitarist).
