Spaces between loves

Today in Human Sexuality class, I learned that there are three different faces of love, and eight different kinds. There is
  • Passionate
  • Intimate
  • Committed
And these three types of love combine in different ways to make different types of love.

Can't help but notice that among the faces and attributes of love your teachers described, they left out one of the ones that I consider most important (more than decision/commitment): respect. In my opinion, respecting and admiring your partner, and them doing the same for you, is one of the things that makes sex really good no matter how else you feel about the person and no matter what other future plans you may or may not have. I don't get a clear sense of Brentt from this entry (and I'm not sure that I'm not misjudging Eric), but I don't hear that Eric respects you a lot.

In my opinion, comparing your various lovers is impossible to avoid, I don't think you're fucked up, sex and love do not always go together and when they do they can come in any order they choose to, and I can't tell whether you're "too obsessed with this concept of a soul mate ( ... )
