XKCD probably shouldn't amuse me as much as it should given the entire evenings my useless friends used to sit around failed to decide what to do...

Crisco is a type of cooking fat/lard used predominately in the US/Canada especially for baking and greasing the tray when baking. As one might imagine it is therefore useful for greasing things in general and has a bit of a reputation for being used for things other than cooking. It isn't common in the UK. I know this because I have a Canadian friend who insists that the only way to bake cookies is with crisco and the only places she could get it were a gay sex shop and Fortnum and Masons (make of that what you will). I think we actually shocked the guy in the shop when he realised we really, really did want it to cook with. :-)

And there I was thinking that it was an interesting and amusing boardgame.

Heh, from Wikipedia:

As a household utility product it has been found to have many alternative uses, including:

* Removal of tar and lipstick from clothing.
* Removal of ink, grease and dirt from surfaces and hands.
* Revitalizing the surfaces of wooden utensils such as bowls and cutting boards.
* Shedding water and snow from weather gear such as galoshes and snow shovels.
* Preventing diaper rash.
* As a makeup base.

Your challenge is to write the first 'crisco fetish fic' using that info ;)
