Heh - GBLT Fantasy/Sci-Fi

I was randomly broswing the net as I do occasionally and I came across a site which had reviews of GBLT fantacy and sci-fi. It doesn't have Diana Gabaldon :-( (although I guess it could be argued she is neither Fantasy or Sci-Fi) and it is missing a big much of Tanya Huff (no Smoke!) but it was interesting to read through the reviews and see what ( Read more... )

Interesting site, thanks for the link.

In case you don't know:

Point of Hopes and Point of Dreams' (both brilliant books) main characters are avatars of Bodie and Doyle.

I actually know one of the authors whose book is on there (and got a bad review ooops). Her fic is excellent.

I did know about Melissa Scott (although I always forget her name) but Pros isn't one of my fandoms so I had never really chased it down. Although thanks for the rec - I might have to give it a try.

I only tried Tanya Huff initially because I wanted a Nick Lea fix. Now having enjoyed those and the Lord John books I am trying to find more stuff in a similar vein cos occasionally my computer is pried out of my hands and I can't read fic so want published slash (as it were) :-) Any other recs greatfully recieved.

I haven't yet read Tania Huff - is it Nick Lea-flavoured enough? ;)

I'll see if there's anything else I can rec (I DO recommend Swordpoint but Fall of the Kings? BLAH.)

Anything published under Mel Keegan is either Pros or MUNCLE (fanfic name, Jane of Australia, very prolific, very business oriented fan ;)

I knew about the Mel Keegan. Another on my list to vaguely track down although I didn't realise there was MUNCLE as well as Pros. Yay MUNCLE ( ... )

Tangentially, I assume that that Potter bloke being gay is old news to you by now.
