I really liked it. I liked the juxtaposition of the weirdness/horror and the mundane. I think the weirdness had more impact because of the air of 'you can get used to anything', it added to the horror of the situation. But at the same time, it also gave it an air of... hmm not hope, but something like it... to see people coping, because life does go on and also that the physical is not everything. The scenario forces a lot of things to the wayside: prejudice and similar and ably demonstrates that people are people regardless and some people are just trying to cope and some people are a bit nuts.
