So I'll be the first to admit that it wasn't the strongest in the cultivation of plot department but I really don't care. To the point I'm actually considering the disaster that was GoF might not be solely Mike Newell's fault. Seriously, Carrie? Seriously?! I thought it looked good on screen and Jake was great (and LOL forever that Jeff from Coupling played his bother!!!) but the story lacked heart SO BAD and the humour was a bit forced. I wouldn't choose to sit through it again. And the girl was a tad annoying :/ Idk... The Mummy did it so much better.

I don't know why I love it so much but I do and I'm just accepting it and moving on. I think it was the pretty special effects. And they didn't sell out and make it 3D like every other big budget film even though they weren't filmed in 3D. And Jake was great and I personally really love Gemma so she didn't annoy me. Again I reiterate, I don't know why. It just is. *head desk*

Besides, not every film can be The Mummy. Or The Mummy Returns but I will point you to The Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emperor (which I refused to see) and The Scorpion King before going off about how it's beyond reproach. If such a wonderful film can derail so completely in subsequent incarnations it's not outrageous for me to believe this can improve upon itself and capitalize on its potential in a sequel. Yeah...

p.s. it didn't have a sh*tty PotC ending!

*arches brow* Gemma Arterton is not annoying but I respect that you personally find her annoying. ;P And you're discriminating against people with deformities but we can still be friends. lol

At least we can agree Jake is lovely.
