Charlie St. Cloud

I saw Charlie St. Cloud on Sunday with Christina. I had no expectations and finally decided to admit I was willing to pay money to see it because Amanda Crew is the female lead and I've enjoyed all the Zac Efron performances I've seen. I have to say I was seriously impressed by how much I love this little film. So naturally I did what any normal ( Read more... )

Sounds good to me! It won't be released here until October unfortunately but I'm looking forward to seeing it even more after hearing what you have had to say about it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :)

You know I thought of you when I went to see it and wondered if you'd gotten to yet or not. Bummer it won't be there until October but I know you'll enjoy it when you do get to see it. :)

I must admit that I had never really heard of Amanda Crew until now but I just checked and she's Canadian so I am required to like her at least a little bit. I'm afraid of crying in the theatre, so I think I'll wait until I can watch this movie at home, but I'm a fan of Zac's (and his adorable relationship with Vanessa) so it's only a matter of time.

My friend Keisha would be happy to know there is a character who hates geese. She loathes them with every fiber of her being!

Zac is total ♥ponies.

I knew Amanda from a Canadian show that was marketed as "The OC in the Snow" or something equally stupid which caused my Canadian friends to mock me but hey I thought she was great. AND she was in She's the Man which is one of the best teen comedies ever. I find I collect random obscure talented individuals. Of course this collection usually goes through an awkward transitional phase when my obscure lovelies start to get the attention and recognition they deserve. *sighs pointedly at Kristen and Tom*

There's a line in there that Keisha will truly appreciate. And it's voiced with a heavy UK accent so even more win. ;)

I know what you mean. And not even in an "I loved them before you" way just in a "Great, now I can't keep up with them" way because I like seeing all that they've done but when they get famous there is suddenly an influx that I am not prepared to handle.

Who are Kristen and Tom? Do you mean K. Stewart?

Yeah exactly. So busy and it's like, "wait you were in that?!" And there is that slight sense of frustration of explaining, "why yes, I've known who they are for quite some time but I'm glad you've discovered them now" because it's not even the I knew first, neener neener thing. It's the 'no, I'm really a fan of them'. lol

Yeah Kristen is in reference to KStew and Tom is Tom Hardy who is getting a ton of (justifiable) love from Inception. :) Amanda deserves the props she's getting for her job in Charlie St. Cloud because it's very different from other roles she's done and does a great job with it.
