I think I may be turning into my (train loving) Dad.

Am on a high speed train to Kent* and am finding it very exciting.

*to Margate in fact, isn't it just the perfect time of year and perfect weather to visit a down at heel British seaside resort.

No Mystery (it's more a -and I don't know if this translates into 'merican- shellsuits and Croydon facelifts kind of place, than a retired colonel place) but a very fun and quite random evening involving a man in a suit of armour, a camp crusader, a jester who seemed to think we were all in a panto amongst others.

Yes, that's a family wedding for you.

Oh, but somewhat unexpectedly there's also a fabulous vintage shop here. Clothes mainly from the forties (and mainly from America) plus other 49's and 50's ephemeral.

The PERFECT time of year.

Seeing snow falling onto the sea is one of the things I haven't done this year that I wish I had.

Oh well, given the weather there might still be a chance!
