OK I know it's just a soap really. And he was just a character. But I have to say I find myself not wanting to listen to The Archers any more now they've killed off Nigel. And particularly now I've discovered that it wasn't because the actor was moving on anyway and no longer able to play the part. It just seems mean. And a waste. For a not particularly good dramatic event and what will no doubt be a horribly irritating ongoing storyline with Elizabeth unable to forgive David.
I think they may just have lost a dedicated listener. Which presumably was not the intention.
