Thanks! My sister picked the name. I think she found it on a website. Mango was the only name everyone liked, so it stuck!

I was telling Jess that my sister wanted to call her Xena, Warrior Princess. I was like UM NO. Haha.

That's a mouthful. Because you know you can't just say Xena. Every time it will be "Xena - Warrior Princess".

I know. And how would you feel if you were at the park and you had to yell, "Xena - Warrior Princess, come!" I'd die of embarrassment, hahaha.

Oooh! Cute name!! But her ears are clipped! :( No floppies?

How does Meeko like her?

Yup, her ears are cropped. The breeder does it when they're young so you don't really have a choice in the matter. You'd have to specially request it if you want a puppy with natural ears, and some breeders won't even do it if they're real purists.

Miko hates her. She'd never seen a cat before, so when she saw him for the first time she barked at him, which he hates. He fluffed up to twice his normal size and hissed at her. We've done some desensitization training over the past few days and she doesn't bark at him any more, just looks at him. I think she's curious. But Miko doesn't forgive/forget so easily. :P

Don't worry, give him a couple of weeks and he'll get used to her. :)

Oh poor Miko. His house has been invaded by a strange dog! Hopefully he won't fight with her.

Well there hasn't been any fighting, but he's hissed at her several times. We've taken to calling him James Bond because he'll perch in a nook somewhere and stick his head out to look at her all sneaky spy-like. It's hilarious since it's incredibly obvious and he's the only one who thinks he's being successfully sneaky. :D
