Greetings and Salutations

I've decided that "Hello" is a pretty demonic way to greet someone. And I've realized that they only time I ever say "Hello" is when I'm talking on the telephone. Specifically when I'm answering the telephone and when my cellphone is cutting in and out. I wonder why that is... I would say "Hi" because that sounds less fire and brimstone and more
