Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a persimmon in person. According to this article, it depends on if it's astringent or non-astringent. I can't find a good description of how to tell which is which, but it seems like it's more likely to be non-astringent. If so, you can apparently eat it fresh, and the article recommends some complimentary fruits to accompany it.

You're not taking it too literally, I honestly have a persimmon and have no idea how to eat it. Your article sadly came up as a very colorful error message, but I'm going to try tackling my persimmon as is. I want to see if it really is better than sex like dearinter.net claims.
